How we manage water, chemicals, and waste on your site

This page describes the practices we follow day to day. We hold no third-party environmental certification today, so we are describing what we do rather than claiming a credential we do not have.

Day-to-day practice

Seven things we do on every site

Purified and deionised water systems
Water-fed pole work uses purified or deionised water, which lifts dirt without leaving mineral spotting on drying. This reduces the volume of detergent needed compared with a traditional squeegee-and-solution approach.
Biodegradable, low-VOC products
Where a cleaning solution is required — for pressure washing, restoration, or heavily soiled surfaces — we use biodegradable and low-VOC formulations suited to the surface and the site's drainage conditions.
WHMIS and SDS availability
Safety Data Sheets for any product used on your site are available on request, consistent with WHMIS requirements, so your building can maintain its own chemical inventory records.
Wastewater and storm drain protection
Pressure washing runoff is directed away from storm drains where a site drains directly to a waterway, using containment mats, drain covers, or a wet-vacuum recovery approach depending on the site.
Spill kits on every crew
Crews carry spill containment materials appropriate to the products in use, so a leak or spill is contained on site rather than reaching a drain or landscaped area.
Waste disposal
Used pads, filters, and any contaminated materials are disposed of through appropriate waste streams rather than left on site or placed in general building waste.
Route planning and fleet efficiency
Multi-building routes are planned to reduce drive time and idling between jobs, which lowers fuel use across a portfolio of scheduled visits.

If your building is pursuing or maintaining BOMA BEST or LEED O+M status, ask your account manager which specific documentation your assessor requires — we can usually produce it without a special process, since it draws on records we already keep for the reasons above.
